New York City’s Lion’s Market, a popular grocery store for Arabs and Jews, is opening to international visitors for the first time.
Arab-Jewish shoppers have long enjoyed the stores offerings, including fresh fruits and vegetables and traditional Arabic and Jewish fare, but it was a big leap forward for the store.
The Lion’s Marketplace opened last summer and has already received positive reviews.
In a statement, the store said the new space will allow visitors to shop while visiting family and friends in the area.
“We are very pleased to welcome more people from across the world to enjoy our store, which is always a hit with our guests,” the statement said.
Lion’s Market is located in the Bronx neighborhood of East New York.
