The days of buying TV shows at the cinema and the cinema-going pub are long gone.
You can now find your favourite shows online, via streaming services, through apps and online streaming boxes.
You don’t need to go to the cinema to watch them.
In fact, a growing number of consumers are now streaming their favourite shows on Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix and HBO Now.
You might even be able to watch a lot of them online, if you have a lot to do.
Forget that movie theatre was once the home of all things popcorn and popcorn-related merchandise.
Now you can go to a store and buy TV shows, movies and games from Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and HBO NOW.
There’s a good chance you’ll be able see some of the most popular shows and films on the service, including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Game of Thrones, Game Of Thrones: The Return Of The King, Fargo, Fargo: The Series And The New Series, The Walking Dead, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Sons Of Anarchy, House Of Cards, True Blood, The Affair, The Vampire Diaries, The Goldbergs, American Horror Story, The Strain, The Man In The High Castle, House of Cards, Sherlock, Orange is the New Black, The Night Manager, and a lot more.
So what can you expect to find on Amazon?
Here are some of our picks to keep you entertained.
Amazon Prime Video: The service offers a wide selection of content from top TV and film studios and has expanded to include original series, movies, documentaries, music videos and games.
You’ll also find the likes of Game of War, House, The Avengers and Iron Fist.
Amazon Prime has more than 8.4 million TV shows and movies available, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with some shows available for as little as $5 a month.
If you’re looking for something a little more expensive, you can sign up for Prime Video and get access to films and TV shows for $20 a month or up to a $100 monthly subscription fee.
If the content you want is not available, you’ll also be able get it through your Amazon Prime account, which offers exclusive access to some of Amazon’s best titles, like The Maze Runner and The Night Of.
Hulu: Hulu’s content is all-you-can-eat, so it can be a little overwhelming at first.
If that’s not a concern, you will be able watch a wide variety of titles from Netflix and Amazon Prime.
The service has more TV shows available now, with a number of shows currently available for $5 to $20.
Hulu also offers more than 40 original series and films available for a limited time, with titles like House Of Lies, Housewives Of Hollywood, True Detective, and more.
If, like us, you’re still looking for a more traditional TV show, you might want to sign up to Hulu Plus for $10 a month and watch the likes to Game of Throne, House Hunters, Sons of Anarchy, American Housewife, The Good Wife, True Crime, Fargo and The Handmaid’s Tale.
Netflix: Netflix is the latest service to offer streaming video, and it’s no secret why.
With over 20 million subscribers across the US, you don’t have to be a huge fan of a particular TV show to get some of its content.
You also won’t have too many issues with subscription fees.
You may also be interested in some of Netflix’s other TV series, like Stranger Things, Fargo or Orange Is The New Black.
The Netflix app has been revamped with more than 70 new series available for you to watch.
You’re able to access more than 100 original series from studios like Sony Pictures, Netflix, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Hulu, Disney and more, and you can also watch some movies from major studios like Warner Bros, Disney, and Fox.
There are also several movies and TV series you can rent for as low as $2 a month, so you won’t be stuck with cable bills when you’re trying to catch up on some shows.
